Froth Au Lait, Inc. Introduces Revolutionary New Cappuccino Appliance (4/12)

Froth Au Lait, Inc. announced an innovative product to dramatically ease the preparation of specialty coffee at home.

Designed to be a companion to a coffee maker, The Froth Au Lait(TM) Hot Milk Frother is a fully automatic electric appliance that prepares especially rich and long lasting frothed milk toppings at the touch of a button. The built in Flavor Hatch(TM) allows flavored syrups to be blended into the froth to produce delicious nonfat flavored toppings for cappuccino, lattes, desserts, and liqueurs. Unlike the classical steam frothing approach of cappuccino machines, Froth Au Lait's patent pending "Froth Whip Technology" prepares meringue-like frothed milk topping without the need or risk of hot steam. Froth Au Lait is the industry's first real solution to effortlessly prepare upscale specialty coffee at home.

Froth Au Lait, Inc. is a new company established in September, 2000 to develop and market innovative appliances for the home and commercial markets. The company's founder, Steve Frankel, is an experienced Chief Executive whose accomplishments in the high technology field are evidenced by two successful IPO's, and by his emphasis on high growth through innovation. Mr. Frankel has now brought that same focus to the small electric appliance marketplace.

Today in America, specialty coffee consumption is growing rapidly, with coffee shops appearing everywhere. Yet this trend is restrained in the home by the deficiencies of existing cappuccino machines. Specialty coffee preparation is time consuming, and clean up is a chore. Furthermore, cappuccino machines are relatively expensive, and the frothed milk produced is frequently thin and inconsistent. Froth Au Lait, Inc.'s informal surveys suggest that most home cappuccino machines are unused within six months of purchase.

To address this problem, Froth Au Lait, Inc. has developed the Froth Au Lait Hot Milk Frother that makes specialty coffee preparation as easy as brewing a pot of coffee. The Froth Au Lait Hot Milk Frother allows for the effortless preparation of specialty coffee by working in tandem with a coffee maker. Whether drip, perk, or espresso, the user prepares his favorite coffee as before. To add an exciting frothed milk topping, only a single additional step is required. Just pour refrigerated milk into the Froth Au Lait unit and depress the start button.

The complexity of cappuccino preparation is gone, yet the quality is enhanced. Froth Au Lait is truly the best companion for every coffee maker.

The Froth Au Lait appliance utilizes patent pending "Froth Whip Technology" to heat and whip milk, aerating it into a creamy, thick, and long lasting froth. The appliance includes a base unit, removable Frothing Pitcher with heater and Froth Whip, and a lid with integral Flavor Hatch. Frothing is achieved through the innovative whipping process. Steam is not required so that the risk of a scalding injury is eliminated.

Frothing begins at the touch of a button -- no dials, gauges, or guesswork required. The frothing process ends automatically when the froth is ready, regardless of the volume or fat content of the milk. Frothed topping, prepared by the Froth Au Lait appliance, remains thick and delicious for up to 45 minutes, as much as twenty times longer than classical steam produced froth. As a result of its meringue-like richness, long lasting texture, and blended flavored syrup, Froth Au Lait has created many new and different uses for frothed milk: as a topping for desserts, fruits, and after dinner drinks. Add chocolate powder to refrigerated milk and prepare a palette pleasing hot chocolate.

Because it produces exceptionally rich frothed topping from nonfat milk, frothed toppings are healthful and excellent for diets.

The Froth Au Lait Hot Milk Frother will be formally introduced at The Gourmet Products Show in New Orleans, April 22-25, 2001. Units are available in two colors: white and ebony. Each automatic frothing cycle prepares from two to six servings in approximately three minutes.
